Berlin's A100 motorway extension will open on 27 August 2025: a 3.2 km stretch from the Neukölln interchange to Treptower Park, costing about €720 million, with 386 m in tunnel and roughly 2.3 km in a trough. The section improves access for eastern districts, BER airport, Adlershof and regional links to Dresden, Cottbus and Frankfurt (Oder). Construction began in 2013 amid environmental protests; a further extension beyond Treptower Park remains uncertain, earliest possible start 2035.
